BACA Supports Charity Cycle Challenge!

When BACA heard Carl Lomas, Chairman of the Institute of Couriers, was using pedal power to cycle from London to Paris in aid of Transaid, they wanted to get on board.

Alongside cyclist Carl, riders from the transport and logistics industry took part in the charity challenge for Transaid, which transforms lives worldwide through safe, available and sustainable transport.

Carl took part in Transaid’s London to Paris Challenge with the four day, 240-mile challenge being staged in September. BACA helped keep fundraiser Carl pedalling providing some BACA branded fudge for a much-needed sugar boost en-route and also donated bespoke, customised hi-vis wear.

Carl said: “The BACA fudge was a treat of a lunch stop at Horsham, a sugar surge in the tummy!"

“Thank you BACA for customising the hi-vis for my courier cycle adventure which included extra pockets – it was a joy to have. So really well done BACA and a big thank you for your rapid response.”

BACA Managing Director Marc Calder added: “We want to congratulate Carl on completing his charity challenge. We were delighted to be able to support him and this is one of the ways BACA helps charities and good causes.”
